TORNADO WARNING!

If any of you saw the morning news, you might have seen that a tornado blew through Edmond, Oklahoma last night. But not just through Edmond, but through our neighborhood! We are fine and our house is fine, but some of our neighbors got a lot of damage. It was a little to close for me!! Here is how the evening went...we turned the tv off about 11:00 last night knowing we would wake up when the storm got closer. We turned the tv on and they said no tornadic activity, just large hail and strong winds. We got up and looked outside and then went back to bed. About 10 minutes later Brian woke me up and said he heard the sirens going off. Sure enough they were!! We turned the tv on and they said if you live at 178th and Penn take cover now!! Well that is us!! We had just enough time to grab the dog and blankets, along with flashlight and radio. Tahoe was wondering not only why we were up, but why was I in the tub with him!! Of course our parents called to check on us and my dad said that it had just passed over us, but thankfully did not touch down on our street, but a few streets over. We lost power and finally got it back on this morning about 6:30. Since we didn't have power we only heard on the radio what the weather men were describing they saw. A house a few streets over lost their roof and several fences down and broken windows. We are saying many thanks to the Lord for having his protection over us last night!
