Angels

God sure had his angels watching over me! So, I went to Dallas this last week and was meeting up with Brian on Friday in Grapevine, so we could follow each other home. I left my brothers house and my cell phone was dead, so I had to wait until I met Brian to get the charger. So, just remember that I had no way of contact from downtown Dallas to Grapevine! We followed each other home and got home safely, cell phone now charged. We were taking care of my parents dog for the weekend, b/c they went to Austin for a wedding. So, I was on my way out to there house and got about 1/2 way there before my car decided to stop! I was able to get to a parking lot though. All I could do was reverse and go in first gear. I called Brian and he came and I followed him home, going about 20 mph. We had it towed to the dealership that we bought it at this morning and thankfully the tow and service is all under warrenty! We are thinking the transmission went out. I am just so thankful we got home safely from Dallas and I wasn't stranded on I-35 with no cell phone!!

"Mr. CPA!"

It's official! Brian received his CPA certificate this past Saturday at the Oklahoma state capitol. They got to sit on the floor of the House, while family sat up in the gallery. They sat in alphabetical order, so Brian was on the front row! I am so very proud of him!

Big D

This past week I went to Dallas and met up with some college friends! We had a great time shopping, eating, and catching up on life! I am so glad that we have kept in touch for about 8 years now! I think we need to start planning a 10 year reunion for us girls!! Thanks for a fun time! I will get some pictures soon, but unfortunately I did not take my camera.

South Carolina

South Carolina

I'm back! We just got back from a wonderful, relaxing trip to South Carolina! We went with 3 other couples, one of them being Brian's brother and his family. The guys played plenty of golf, the girls shopped til we ran out of money, and of course we relaxed by the pool! We ate a lot of great food! One of my dreams has been to go to Savannah, Georgia and eat at Paula Deen's resturaunt, Lady and Sons. We were about 45min. away from Savannah, so Brian and I decided to go one day. You can't make reservations and they say it is extremely difficult to get in. I was praying the whole way there!! They start taking names at 9:30am for lunch or dinner. We got there about 9:45 and the line was wrapped around the building. I got up to the hostess and told her we wanted 2 for lunch and we would take first available time. We got in at 11:00 for lunch. She told us to be back at 10:45 and line up across the street! I was so excited!! We got back to Lady and Sons on time and were greeted by "Miss Rolly Polly." She rang the dinner bell and we waited patiently for our name to be called. We decided to get the lunch buffet, b/c it would give us the opportunity to eat her best southern dishes. Now part of my dream had been completed. The next part was to meet Paula or one of her sons. So after we finished lunch we walked next door to Paula's store and to our surprise her son, Bobby, was there taking pictures and autographs!! I of course bought a recipe book so I could get his autograph and take a picture! My dream had now been complete! We enjoyed our short trip to Savannah and hope to visit again! There are many stories to share, but hopefully the pictures will show you a glimpse of our trip!
