Ok, so the Bears couldn't deliver the first win of the season last night, but I am still excited for football! Now if we can just get some football weather that would make it better.
My aunt and uncle drove down to Waco last night and went to the game. They said there was so much traffic that they couldn't make it to the stadium. So, they had to park on campus and take the trolley to the game with all the students! That is exciting! They of course stayed the whole game and sang the Baylor Line at the end!
Did anyone see the end of the game when the Fox news guy was trying to interview Skinner(WF's QB) but Skinner stopped him after one question and said he needed to go. He then walked over to all the other players at mid field and joined them in prayer! I love that!
I hope everyone has a wonderful and restful Labor Day weekend!

August 20th
Well, I am one year closer to the big"3-0!" I started the day early as I wanted to make sure I had enough time to get ready for the first day of school! When I got into my classroom two of my teammates had decorated my room for my birthday! The parents brought in donuts for my class and a cake for the teachers lounge! I think this was the 2nd time in 29 years that my birthday has been during school! That just tells me we keep starting school too early! I had a great first day with my kids! That night I got to celebrate with my family. We took a few pics outside the restaurant, but unfortunately I missed getting a picture of our dessert with a sparkler in it!!

I thought I would share with you two of my gifts I got from my parents...
One is the gorgeous, cute picture of the golden puppies running on the beach. We decided that Tahoe and Indy are the ones on the far right running right next to each other. The second one is a new pair of cowboy boots! Adam and Cassidy's rehearsal dinner is a western theme and they would like all the guests to dress western. So I figured it was a good excuse to get a new pair of boots, plus I really needed some. Or was that wanted?! It was a great 29th birthday and thank you all for your messages and phone calls!

The Lake

This past weekend we took several friends up to the lake for the weekend! We had a great time, even though it rained the whole weekend! We did get in about an hour and a half out on the water before the rain began. Because of the rain the guys managed to have a ping pong ball tournament and played tennis in the rain! The girls enjoyed a girly movie and relaxation! Who would have thought the middle of August it raining for 2 days and it only reaching the upper 70's, low 80's! It was a nice break from the 100's!
